Do you think you have what it takes to build a bike for the Chop Off? The Chop Off & Ride in Bike Show allows the everyday guy to show off his skills and his prized bike.
Multiple contestants will be chosen randomly for the challenge.
- 10 contestants will be chosen for the Amateur Chop Off
- 5 contestants will be chosen for the Professional Chop Off
- 5 contestants will be chosen for the Bicycle Chop Off
Rules for Amateur Chop Off
- Entry Donation: $50
- One class: Choppers
- No professional builders allowed to enter
- CAN NOT build bikes for a living, or be employed by someone who does
- Mentors and Professional Builders can instruct or advise but can not do the final build

- One class: Choppers
- Must be building professionally as a company to enter

- Entry Donation: $50
- Amateur or Professional builders allowed to enter
Additional Rules
- New projects only
- Build whatever you want, no restrictions
- Must provide continuous updates via our magazine’s website at least one month, can submit as many as you want
- Updates must consist of at least one image and one paragraph describing your progress
- Partners, Sponsors, Mentors: contestants are allowed to work with Professional shops, Fabricators, Welders, Engine/ TransmissionTransmission The system of gears and chains by which power is transmitted from the engine to the driving wheel. builders, Manufacturers, Crafters for painting, pinstripping, leather, engraving, and other elements.
- Credit must be given to each Partner, Sponsor, Mentor and Crafter that assists with the build.
- Final build must be completed by the contestant.
Prizes
- 3 winners will be chosen for the Amateur Chop Off
- 1st prize: $150.00 + custom trophy
- 2nd prize: $75.00
- 3rd prize: $50
- 1 winner will be chosen for the Professional Chop Off
- Prize: $300.00 + custom trophy
- 1 winner will be chosen for the Bicycle Chop Off
- Prize: $50 + custom trophy
How to enter
- Submit via our magazine’s website
- Mention which Chop Off you are entering
- An outline of your project
- Submissions taken for current year July 1 – August 31
- Once all submissions are received, contestants will be chosen randomly for the challenge
- 10 contestants will be chosen for the Amateur Chop Off
- 5 contestants will be chosen for the Professional Chop Off
- 5 contestants will be chosen for the Bicycle Chop Off
- Final chosen contestants will be notified and announced September 15
- Once the contestant has been notified they can start chopping
- Work time is 9 months
- Deadline
- Bike has to be ready on day of event by 9am for Meet up and Ride
Meet up and Ride
- All contestants will receive a participating gift
- Each contestant will receive a special designed t-shirt
- Each contestant will submit a final article with tech to be due before ride submitted via our magazine’s website
- Bike must complete ride under it’s own power
- Bike must have proper/ required plates, tags, registration
- Photos will be taken of each bike before the ride with & without the contestant
Show & Judging
- Each bike setup will receive it’s own display setup
- Bike will be on display after ride for judging, voting and public viewing
- Judging will be based on a point system
