After reading the couple of opinion pieces of the underrated sporties, I bought my first Harley. 99 XL1200S. I am enjoying this little power monster so far and am happy with the kool-aid.  It was customized like this when i bought it but what does that matter. So far not a fan of the forward controls and the low bars, makes it hard to hold on in high torqueTorque The tendency of a force to cause an object to rotate. In an engine, the torque is expressed as the force applied multiplied by the distance from the center of rotation. It is the basic measure of the propulsive effect of a powered wheel. Or, said in other words: The measure of the force applied to produce rotational motion usually measured in foot-pounds or Nm. Torque is determined by multiplying the applied force by the distance from the pivot point to the point where the force is applied. situations. I would have liked a speedo to start with but it has none.  Need some time to get used to all the new sounds of an american V-Twin. Is this thing going to grenade? I have no clue…Well, anyway I’m starting with the bars and going from there.  More in the spring.
